C. Ellen Hart makes drawings, paintings and mixed media collage. A third generation Texas artist, Hart earned her BFA in Painting at the University of Houston in 1985, winning a Sarah Campbell Blaffer Scholarship Award in 1984.

Since that time she has exhibited in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Texas, Virginia and Washington DC. While living in the Washington, DC area Hart was elected a Resident Artist at the Arlington Arts Center and a Fellow of Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Since returning to Texas she was a 2008 recipient of a Houston Arts Alliance Established Artist Fellowship grant for her Downtown Reflections and Bayou Reflections projects.

Recently Hart’s works have been exhibited with Jack Meier Gallery, Houston, Yvonamor Palix Fine Arts, Houston, Gallery 314, Silos at Sawyer Yards, Houston, and Marta Stafford Fine Arts in Marble Falls Texas.
